Dorset Reclaim is a registered
charity (No. 1076996) with depots based in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorchester, operating a furniture
re-use project offering electrical and household goods donated from local people & businesses to
households on low incomes.
We provide local residents & organisations with a free collection service of good quality items.
In the last ten years we have helped over 24,000 families, collecting from more than 43,000 homes,
with in excess of 100,000 items being donated to date.
Dorset Reclaim began in 1998 and since then we have been fulfilling our aims and objectives by:
• Supplying low income families with good quality furniture, electrical and household goods.
• Providing training and volunteering opportunities to help develop work and social skills.
• Encouraging local people to re-use and recycle, thereby reducing the amount going to landfill.

01/11/2011
~ ~ ~
We recently applied for the National Wood Recyclers Association ‘Best Partnership Award’ for
the wood recycling project and we are very, very pleased to say that we won this national award
when up against many others, mostly large recycling companies, and John Randall returned with
our first trophy !
The Awards luncheon was held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on Tuesday and John
Randall attended on our behalf, along with Judith Martin from the Borough of Poole.
