Information for Agencies refering clients

The information in this section is here to help you refer your client, but if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us for any further assistance.

We can help your client if they;

  • Are moving to an unfurnished home.
  • Have insufficient furniture in their current home.
  • Need to replace damaged or worn out furniture or appliances.
  • Have experienced a change of circumstances and need additional items.

Your client also needs to be in receipt of a means tested benefit such as;

  • Job seekers allowance (JSA).
  • Income support.
  • Housing benefit.
  • Working families benefit.
And not have access to adequate capital resources to resolve their need.

Once a client is referred, their application remains 'live' with us for 6 weeks, so they can return at any time within that period to look for the items they need.

If your client needs other items in the future, we are happy to accept further referals beyond the initial 6 week period.

On rare occasions, we may have to limit the number of items a client selects to those that will meet their reasonable immediate needs, until further items become available.

How to refer your client

We have a simple referal procedure, which allows you to either print a referal form, and then post or fax the completed form to us, or submit one to us online. If you submit a form, it may be necessary for us to contact you to verify any of the details given.
  1. Complete a referal form in full, including the items required, making clear who will be providing the donation.
  2. If posting or sending by fax, mark the form with your agency stamp to ensure authenticity and remember to sign it.
  3. You can give the form to your client to bring along at the time of their visit if you prefer.
