Dorset Reclaim are working in partnership with the Borough of Poole from 1st August 2006 to provide the bulky household waste collection service. Previously run by the council, Dorset Reclaim will now be collecting bulky items, such as beds, sofas, fridge/freezers, from Poole residents and operating the service from our warehouse at 3,Didcot Road, Nuffield Industrial Estate. If you wish items to be collected from your home, please contact us on 01202 679350 and we will arrange a collection within 5 working days. We will continue with the same charges for this service as previously operated by the Borough of Poole in 2005/06. Collection of one large item from your home will cost £25 with any additional items taken away at the same time costing £5 each. Payment needs to be made by the way of cash or cheque (payable to Dorset Reclaim) and given to our collection team on the day. For full details of our services and costs, please contact us on the above number. You can, of course also dispose of your items free of charge by taking them to the Nuffield CA site. If, when our collection team call, the items you want taken away are judged to be fit for reuse, we will collect at no cost, to you. Items collected at no cost will then be distributed to local households on low incomes after any minor refurbishment necessary.
