Five voluntary groups have been honoured for their selfless contributions to life in Poole.
Representatives were awarded The prestigious POOLE CVS Award by the town mayor Joyce Lavender at a ceremony in the council chamber.
Cllr Lavender said: "Volunteers do a great job-it really is difficult to choose the winners. Well done to you all, you do a great job for Poole and it's grat for to be here with you today."
First prize went to tutor support volunteers at the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of offenders (NACRO), a crime reduction organisation working to equip disadvantaged young people with life skills.
Dorset Reclaim, a charity that recycles furniture and electrical items for the needy residents came second; and volunteers al Poole's eight drop-in centres came third.
